Cleaning your skin effectively is simple once you understand a few caveats.
Use your J.Oberon Glycerin as you would any soap. Lather on your body and scrub gently using a washcloth, loofah or other washing device and rinse completely. For optimal results, we suggest the following tips.
Your Shower Should Be Warm – Not Hot
While hot showers are wonderful, the heat of the water opens up your pores. As you wash your skin with hot water, many of the contaminants including dirt and bacteria you are trying to wash away are introduced to your pores. Once you get out of the shower, your pores seal these contaminants into your pores and skin.
How to Cheat! If you really love the idea of a hot shower (which we all do!), clean your skin with warm water using J.Oberon fine glycerin and rinse completely. Once you have rinsed well, feel free to turn the water temperature to your liking!
For Best Results...
J.Oberon glycerin is highly moisturizing without a greasy or oily feeling. Our hygroscopic formulation attracts moisture from the air that surrounds you to keep your skin looking its best. Unless directed by your dermatologist, try not using additional moisturizers until you determine if they are absolutely necessary when using J.Oberon glycerin soap.
The problem with many moisturizers is that they often inhibit your skin's natural defenses. You will be amazed at the results!
Let J.Oberon Do the Hard Work for You
Scrubbing your skin hard damages your skin. J.Oberon fine glycerin should be lathered gently. This protects your skin, keeps your pores clean!
Exfoliate Responsibly
Unless your dermatologist tells you differently, you should exfoliate no more than once per week. When exfoliating, you should use a gentle microderm product like J.Oberon Morocco™ that exfoliates gently and effectively. Harsh exfoliants that include ground up nut and fruit pits (especially peach) tear your skin and can cause far more damage than the good they do. Untested ingredients like oatmeal, grains and even nut meal (among many others) can go rancid and introduce dangerous bacteria to your skin.
If Irritation Develops
A very small percentage of soap users are sensitive to fragrances, artificial colors or some ingredients of many products. For consumers with sensitive or problematic skin, we suggest the J.Oberon Professional™ line of glycerin.
In the rare event that you experience redness, irritation or itching when using our products, rinse the area thoroughly with cool water and discontinue the use of your J.Oberon product
